Week 7: Maple Date Granola Bars

These fantastic 5 ingredient granola bars are easy to make, healthy and incredibly delicious! If that’s not enough reason to hold off on the store-bought stuff with enough chemicals to push the shelf life over a year, I don’t know what is!
I found the recipe on minimalistbaker.com and knew I had to try it as soon as I saw dates and maple syrup in the ingredients list. I noticed some of the commenters were complaining about their bars falling apart, so I made just two modifications: I used 1 1/4 cups of dates and 1/3 cup of maple syrup. The bars held together beautifully and were nice and chewy thanks to the extra dates.
