My favourite part about trying new recipes is looking at the photos of what my meal will never look like. Nonetheless, one of my new year's resolutions is to learn a new dish every week for a year... and blog every moment of it.

I have just three rules for this challenge:

1. No canned or jarred shortcuts
2. No pasta dishes
3. No instagram filters! (these photos should get pretty interesting given my lack of culinary and photography skills!)

Also, due to a life experiment I am trying for my sustainability course, my dish of the week will be:
  • Without red meat up until February 8th
  • Vegetarian from February 9th-28th
  • Vegan from March 1st-15th
  • Locally grown/raised (within 100 miles) from March 16th-March 28th
